If you are looking for a replacement for the failure prone Volvo ETM (by Magneti Marelli) you have come to the right place. The XeMODeX remanufactured ETM is replacing the potentiometer type throttle position sensors with a Digital Angle Sensor (DAS). The DAS no parts that make physical contact as the throttle opens and closes. There is no wear associated with the movement of the throttle and the DAS carries a lifetime warranty limited to the car it is initally installed in.

You have two options:

TDP will test, clean, re-manufacture, test and ship the next day by FedEx. By replacing the ETM on the same car it is unlikely that any computer download will be required.

Second: Since ETM cores are in short supply, if you are a combination repair facility and have salvage 1999 through 2002 Volvos that have intact ETMs you may send these cores to XeMODeX for testing and rebuilding. If it is a rebuildable unit, you can have these returned to you for your stock thus giving your customer immediate replacement. Since there are several varieties of software RELOAD there is a chance that the software will need to be reloaded but generally an ETM, from the same year and model, that can be rebuilt, will work ion a similar model, except 8644344. The 8644344 can only replace the same part number and can only be replaced by the same part number.
There are several varieties of software for the other part numbers. Although the vehicle may run with a different software it will perform better with the code for its specific mode. Imagine the performance of an turbo vs a non-turbo engine would have a different response from the signal from the accelerator.
