Electronic Throttle Module (ETM) Rebuild Service
Limited Lifetime Warranty on Sensor Assembly
Notice: Many items can affect the performance of these affected Volvo vehicles. Items as simple as a older battery, battery cables, oxygen sensors, mass airflow sensors, and the ignition system including spark plugs, wires, coils and engine control unit. A replacement ETM will not fix these problems. The primary symptom of ETM failure is that the engine does not do exactly what you tell it to do by the accelerator position. It may surge or hesitate, as you drop in speed coming off of a freeway it may stall or the ultimate is to default to the limp-home condition. In this limp-home case the car is only able to go 15 to 20 MPH and the accelerator has no control of the engine speed what-so-ever. In rare cases the accelerator potentiometer may be at fault and produce similar symptoms.
XeMODeX provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the ETM as re-manufactured by XeMODeX.
XeMODeX’s Limited Lifetime Warranty coverage applies to the original
purchaser of the ETM and is valid as long he or she owns the car. Subsequent
